This is a plugin that can add a dreamy fog effect to the map in RPG Maker MZ. You can freely adjust the fog density, color, and movement speed, and it also includes a function to apply fog only to a specific area. I need help. I made a plugin that can create fog. However, since I needed an image, I stacked layers with Aseprite, adjusted the opacity, and created it as a png... I guess I'm not good at drawing. The picture below is the fog I created.

Feature Introduction

Fog creation for the entire map: You can create an atmosphere by activating the fog effect.
Fog density, color adjustment: You can apply various styles of fog by setting the RGB hexacode and density.
Movement speed setting: You can add an effect that makes it look like fog is blowing in the wind.
Smooth fade effect: You can create a scene where fog gradually appears or disappears. Per-map configurable: You can apply individual settings via map memo tags.
Apply to specific regions only: Provides the ability to display fog only for specific region IDs.
Support plugin commands: You can change fog settings in real time via event commands.

Installation and usage

1. How to install

Save the plugin file MistyWeatherMZ.js to the js/plugins/ folder.
Activate MistyWeatherMZ in the Plugin Manager in RPG Maker MZ.
Save the fog texture image (mist.png) to the img/fogs/ folder.

If the image does not exist, the default gray fog will be generated.

Change fog color (RGB hex code)

Set fog movement speed
MistyWeather SetSpeed 0.3 -0.1

MistyWeather FadeIn
Apply fog fade in effect
MistyWeather FadeIn 120

MistyWeather FadeOut
Apply fog fade out effect
MistyWeather FadeOut 120

3. Map-specific settings (using memo tags)
Specific maps apply fog effect by default To apply, enter the following in the Note Box of the map properties:
<Fog: On, 150, #808080, 0.2, -0.2>

On: Enable fog (On or Off)
150: Default density (0~255)
#808080: Fog color
0.2: Horizontal movement speed
-0.2: Vertical movement speed

4. Apply fog only to specific areas
You can also set the map to have fog only appear on tiles with specific region IDs.
<FogRegion: 1, 2, 3>

With the above settings, fog will only appear on tiles with region IDs 1, 2, and 3. Test Environment
