[制作教程] How to make a Persona Instakill spell in MV! (NO PLUGINS!)

    Have you ever wanted to make a ShinMegami Tensei/Persona game, or something inspired by either/both of them, but couldn't figure out how to make the Mudo, Hama, Mudoon, or Hamaon skills? Well, now you can! And it's incredibly easy to set up!

    First off, open your Database (gear icon) and go to your Skills menu. Make a new skill, and title it whatever you'd like. (I'm gonna call mine Mudo for simplicity.)




    Now, see where it says Damage? (Top-Right corner?) That's where we make the magic happen!
    Click the Type: option so we can set what damage it does, and now, set it to HP Damage.




    Next, let's change the element. You have to set an element for it, or else nothing can nullify it!
    Let's set it to Darkness.



    And then, you want to make sure Critical Hits are OFF, and Variance is set to 0.
    If Critical Hits are on, and Variance is anything higher than 0, then it may not do enough damage we need, and the Critical Hit may be resisted by an enemy that has a high Critical Evade rate- or just, it's easier on you, I promise!! Just turn them off.



    Now, if you were to test this skill out in battle, you'd notice that it does literally nothing. This is because we have to set the damage!

    "But Knivey! You can't just put damage on it! It's an INSTAKILL spell remember!?"
    Well yeah, but if you don't want to download a million plugins, then trust me on this.

    Make sure to set the Formula to exactly 9999999. This is because 9999999 is the highest RPG Maker MV naturally lets you set your enemy's health to.




    Boom! You're done all the technical bits for this part! Now, feel free to set whatever you want with the skill. Change the icon, MP/TP cost, Success rate, Speed, ect.




    Now, while you are finished your Skill setup, just know this. If you were to test the skill in this state right now, it will instakill ANY enemy should it be a successful cast. (In other words, as long as the skill hits, it will always instakill no matter what.)
    This skill is very broken, and players could easily just wipe out bosses in a single turn, which I doubt is what you want. So now, I'll show you how to make an enemy Nullify your instant kill attack!

    It's very easy to set up, too! All you have to do is go to your enemy of choice (or make one)....



    Select the Traits option in the Top-Right (select a blank space)....



    Select the Element Rate option...



    And set it to your instakill element (in this case, Darkness), and set the percentage to 0!
    And there you go! Now that enemy nullifies your instakill attack!
