[制作教程] Clock & Calendar Workshop (Steam)

    SYNOPSIS
    SpoilerThis "game" is made to learn other developers to make a a working clock and calendar. The game itself will just show a couple of examples on how this can be used. But the interesting parts are the common events, where I explain step by step what I did and why.

    Examples already in the game:

    • Clock and Calendar (of course)
    • Skipping time in a bed
    • Breakfast only spawning 7 am til 9 am, lunch spawning 11 am til 1 pm, dinner spawning 5 pm til 8 pm,
    • A chicken that only comes during the day
    • Monsters that spawn at night
    So far those are pretty basic function for the time system, but there is more.

    • Get a debuff when you don't sleep, eat or drink for a while.
    • A bigger debuff is you don't eat, drink or sleep even longer.
    And there is so much more you can do. with a clock and a calendar.

    • Make 4 seaons
    • Make holidays, existing one, or make up your own.
    • Have stores close at night
    • Give NPC's and characters birthdays.
    • Have characters age after reaching a certain year.

    SpoilerYou can download this game as a Steam Workshop. This way you can easily see what I did and how I did it. Just subscribe to the workshop, then open your Steam Manager in MV, and load the workshop.

    HOW DO I USE THIS TO LEARN?
    SpoilerIf you load the project, you will get a little look around and see some examples of what you could do with a clock and calendar.
    You will be pretty done with the game itself in a few minutes.

    When you're done playing the game, go back to the project in MV, press F9 and go to the common events. You can skip the first one and go directly to the second common event.

    Read the green comments, it will teach you step by step what I did. I will update this regularly with more examples of how to use the system, and of course, an explanation of how it is made.






    (!)Explaining is done in MV, in the (common) events, NOT in the game. The game just shows you some funny examples.

    WHO MADE WHAT?
    SpoilerEverthing you see either came with the software, or was made by me. Everything can be used by anyone for ther RPG maker projects.
