Im a guy who likes fun to walk around places in his rpgs. So as to not Feel like a leech here I go with whats probably a basic tutorial. but it might help someone anyways given how underloved 2k3 is. the point of this tutorial in short is to be able to make sets of bridges that you can go both under and walk on when you get on top of them. giving you more options to make nice maps with less limits!
[requirements and set up]
all these events can be done with rpg maker itself if you have the tiles for it. .so to start youll need the tile set and its property's in order to even make this event possible. to this end ive Created a tile set *modged up * to Do all the things I want at once. (linked below. hopefully it wasnt compressed upon uploading.)

once you have the tileset the only things that matter is having the lower level and higher level bridges set up properly. for the sake of conveyance, I made the lower bridge sets darker then the higher level ones. so that players can tell what level is what. but you want the directional passibility set to the following for those areas.

[event placement]

once you make your map as you desire. is the real challenge. for in order to actually go under the bridge you need to make an event like this one thats a copy of your upper tile. as pictured below.

what matters is making the event only appear when the switch is on. as long as set them on before you step under them and off after you pass them the switch process is utterly seamless. those events to switch them off and on are simple.

[ Final step where it could be more effcient]
the last step is to use a special pair of movement events , so that your player automatically walks past it . given the narrow passes used here theres no reason a player would notice or be inconvenienced. but failing to do this event in this pair makes it so the player gets trapped in an endless loop of walking back and forth. and was the biggest challenge in this whole event.

due to me doing a heavy handed movement event for these one tile slide passes, so that people wont accidentally phase all around the zone and not go where there going. should they go outside the path. since this requires soo many events all around i dident see a better way. but feel one might be that allows full player control. but the downside is this wont let you run a bridge directly under the other and still pass through both. so no means to hide secrets here! But with this You can do as many loops and passes as you disire so long as you can fit the events in and place them in places the Player has to step in. the passes work for both horizontal and vertical passes. But if anyone gains from this or has ideas to improve it. Ill be glad to hear it!
