In MV, the editor lets you choose whether or not to give the reserve party experience after a battle. The choices that the editor gives are for the members of the reserve party to get the same amount of experience as the battle party members, or to get none at all. This plugin gives the reserve party approximately half the experience that the battle party gets, whatever option .
There are no parameters plugin commands or script calls; it is purely plug-and-play.
The reason that the reserve party does not get exactly half is because of rounding to keep experience an integer. If all your enemies give an even number of experience points the reserve party would get exactly half.
Spoiler: Why give your reserve party half experience for combat?
Most parties represent a small group. Most of the combat would usually be done by the most capable members, but everyone present would witness it. The battle party (by default the first 4 members) would learn by doing, but the hangers-on (the reserve party, by default members 5 to 8) would witness combat at close hand. They wouldn't be landing blows or casting offensive spells, but they would feel similar fears, witness the reactions necessary for combat and unconsciously get used to the snap decisions to make. I believe that people who hang around with violent people get a better idea of how to do violence than people who rarely see it, but aren't as good at it as people who habitually do it.
