How to make sprites of any size and have them work in your game (IMAGES INCLUDED

idk how many guides there are about this but here i go about doing it

im using asprite but it should work with any image editing software

YOU MUST ADD A $ AT THE START OF THE PNG NAME OR ELSE THIS WONT WORK




step 1: make a sprite (this one is 158x187)





step 2: make a box the size of the canvas




step 3: copy & paste the box gird as shown below




(i usually leave a a two pixel wide gap here)






step 4: remove the grid and add to your game (you should be done now)

watch it move in game

if im having trouble lining something up making a simple ruler like this would solve it





when i was starting out rpg maker trying to make custom big sprites always gives me a headache
i hope i explained it the best i could and hope this will be useful to at least one or two people
