You want to make a game which takes place in train, spaceship or airplane and think it would be nice to have a moving scenery behind the window. Here's an example of what I meant :

All you need is a little bit of work done with any drawing software and few nice panorama pictures which you think will suite the scene you want to pull off in the game As for me, I only use paint exe and google images got a lot of resource you want for this trick.

    1. Make or draw the window sprite.

Using 4 frame template for character sprite, draw or simply copy paste of window sprite from legal source (like from certain tileset) to each frame until you got this. I used 384px X 384 px picture background size with 3 X 3 frame size. Make sure to filled background color with any color except white and black to avoid issues when you imported this file into the game maker XP.

    Spoiler

Or you can use this window sprite template I made for your work or for practice which is fine for me.

    2. Selecting the panorama view for window background.

Now open any panorama picture which you like to use in your game with paint exe. Simply use select tool and select small part/region of the panorama picture. copy or cut the desired part.

    Spoiler

Note : Take note that I only select and copy this part of the panorama picture because I want my window got a view of mountain top and sky.

    3. Editing the background view.

Now paste this part right under your window sprite and you will get something like this.

    Spoiler

    4. Decorating the background view.

Now for the fun part. You can add objects like trees which to this background. Just open any pictures with trees sprites (I used tree sprites from zanyzora tileset) and copy the tree sprites and paste them like this.

    Spoiler

Note : I am pasting the tree sprites up and down purposely so I can view sakura trees of different heights passing through the window. This is just an example. You can do anything as you like if you got a grip of how this works.

    5. Finishing the final product.

Now  all left is to select and copy the window sprite above the background you made and paste on your background. If you used paint exe, set the background color blue as transparent first before pasting the window sprite. The final outcome should be like this :

Now, lets trim the excess part of the tree to finish your animated window. Finally, it will be like this :

Note : Nice, isn't it? Now, by using this concept I am sure you can do some fancy moving view for your game! Save the finished product and open rpg maker.

    6. Imported finished product and how to use it in RPG maker XP.

Open rpg maker XP and click the material icon. Select graphics/characters and imported the window sprite into the folder. Done this and now create a nice map where you want to use this window sprite.

Take note that this window sprite is 3x3 frame size so you are recommended to create map wall with 3 frame's height like the sample map in the video above. If you are fond with wall with 2 frame's height, then just re-sized the window sprite to reduce its height just like this.

    Spoiler

Now click to the wall (train wall, airplane or spaceship wall tile, etc.) and create new event. Set the event like this :

    Spoiler

Note : You can set the trigger as parallel process but NOT RECOMMENDED when you want to add text to command section like when player interact with window he will say ''What a beautiful view''  because parallel process will cause the text to be displayed automatically.

Good luck and have fun everyone.
