What does this do?

I'm unsure what the use of the


        Set Movement Route: This Event (wait)


        -Turn Left


        -Wait (3)


        -Turn Right


        -Wait (3)


        -Turn Up


        -Through ON


        Actually do? I've never actually used it except for through the quick event menu. And was wondering what it did, so that I may add it to the other events I've made while understanding if its an essential snippet...
