Rules
The rules for the Learning Javascript section of this forum are purposefully vague. We want to facilitate open discussion about various topics regarding Javascript, programming, and other such topics.However, we want to be very clear about which topics DO NOT go in the Learning Javascript section.
[*]"Teach me how to make <insert plugin here>."Any topics similar to these kinds of requests should be made in the proper plugin request section. No one will hold your hand while you type up an entire plugin because they may as well code it for you.
[*]You may ask how to get started on making a particular plugin, though.
[*]You may also ask for help with your own work-in-progress plugins.
[*]Help/support topics for scripts made by other people.
[*]If you are having issues with a plugin NOT made by you, then please create a topic in the Javascript Plugin Support section.
[*]However, this does not mean you cannot talk about other people's plugins in this section. For example, if you want to know how a plugin's abstract data structure was conceptualized or if you want understand an algorithm used in a plugin, then you may create a discussion topic for it here.
Note: This section is for learning JavaScript, not for learning how ChatGPT or an LLM writes JavaScript.
