I'll explain. I'm a solo dev and RPG maker MV is really easy for me to use, however, when it comes to javascript, even a plugin, I can't understand anything, even with a tutorial. I should mention I use linux mint and so I have a built in javascript maker (a good old notepad?)I tried looking up plugin templates and even reading the existing one I have, nothing.
I should mention that the reason I want to make my own plugins is because I don't want to rely on existing ones. There's nothing wrong with relying on existing ones, however, I want to know javascript properly for plugins of various kinds, such as a sketchpad (drawing app), games within games, using a cursor like a point and click game and even make pokemon like plugins for mv.
Please be patient with me, since I have a hard time understanding tutorials using text, I work best with videos but even videos which I tried to watch I didn't understand how they did it with javascript.
I also want to learn javascript because to be honest, programming for game development is really fun for me, even though it's hard sometimes.
